After every link to a youtube/metacafe/google video/etc. video page (for example, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=whatever or http://www.youtube/v/whatever"), the video is automatically embedded just under the link. The consequence is that you can get a lot of embedded flash videos even with javascript disabled. It doesn't seem that useful for any kind of 'hacking' purpose, but you can right-click and copy link location on either the noscript placeholder or the ab+ tab and every youtube embed url can easily be rearranged into the viewing page. http://www.youtube.com/v/x = http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x. I don't have to visit the youtube page at all if I decide I want to social bookmark the vid (or make a regular bookmark) to del.icio.us, reddit, digg or whatever. Or say if I'm surfing while simultaneously chatting, I like the video and want to share it in the chat, makes it nice and quick, dont have to load that youtube page with a gazillion asinine comments and "related videos" that in fact are not.
