if there's swf in page, proxo puts a few buttons in the middle of an empty box. one is a fwd arrow, one is a floppy (direct link to save), i forget the other icon :-)
whats uniquely obnoxious about adobe flashplayer (plugin) is their screwball online privacy/spyware settings.

Didn't work for me. It tries to download the flash.cab file. And your captcha just gave me the most impossible word ever.

I love the security of noscript. I do have a question. how does one enable trusted toolbar plugins. i unchecked forbid plugins, but jiwire toolbar still fails to launch.
is there a workAround?
thanks

Well I also use a greasemonkey userscript called "videoembed". After every link to a youtube/metacafe/google video/etc. video page (for example, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=whatever or http://www.youtube/v/whatever"), the video is automatically embedded just under the link. The consequence is that you can get a lot of embedded flash videos even with javascript disabled.

It doesn't seem that useful for any kind of 'hacking' purpose, but you can right-click and copy link location on either the noscript placeholder or the ab+ tab and every youtube embed url can easily be rearranged into the viewing page. http://www.youtube.com/v/x = http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x. I don't have to visit the youtube page at all if I decide I want to social bookmark the vid (or make a regular bookmark) to del.icio.us, reddit, digg or whatever. Or say if I'm surfing while simultaneously chatting, I like the video and want to share it in the chat, makes it nice and quick, dont have to load that youtube page with a gazillion asinine comments and "related videos" that in fact are not.

@<b>Aerik</b>:
right, but AB+ tabs cannot work where JavaScript is disabled.
Anyway I was just happy for users hacking NoScript, rather than the (still useful) functionality itself ;)

Ooooor...

if you have Adblock Plus installed and have tabs put over objects/flash, you could just middle-click the tab and open the object/flash in a new tab, or right-click and select "open in new tab".... Been doin that for a long time. Or to easily download with flashgot before noscript had clickable placeholders.

That's a lot easier than going through the source and pasting the URL. I've gotta try this with DTD and Filler.
